Measure Before You Order

Blinds are cut to order and cannot be resized, so a measurement error is not a small problem — it is a remake. The two mistakes we see most often are measuring the window instead of the curtain rod, and measuring a blind recess in only one place when the wall is out of square. Our step-by-step measuring guide covers both, including the inside-versus-outside mount decision you need to make before measuring.

Or let us do it: we measure free on site across Delhi NCR, confirm the mount type, flag anything in the way — AC units, handles, wall switches, existing rods — and quote from exact figures. For sliding doors, bay windows and anything above about 6 ft, that visit is worth far more than it costs us.

What Determines the Price of Curtains & Blinds

We do not publish a rate card, because a single per-window or per-sq-ft figure would be misleading — the same window can differ two or three-fold in price depending on the specification. These are the factors that actually move the number:

Fabric or slat material — the biggest factor. A basic polyester and a premium imported jacquard, or a PVC and a real basswood slat, are different brackets entirely
Window size — priced by area, and curtains additionally by fullness, so a wide window uses two to two and a half times its width in fabric
Lining — blackout and thermal linings add material and stitching to curtains, and blackout blind fabrics cost more than translucent
Operating mechanism — a manual chain or cord is the baseline; spring, cassette and especially motorised systems each add cost
Track, rod and hardware — a real line item, not an afterthought, and the part most often left out of a cheap quote
Number of windows — the cost per window falls as site visit and installation time spreads across more units
Access — very high windows, stairwell glazing and double-height living rooms need equipment and more labour

Which is better for Indian homes, curtains or blinds?

Curtains suit bedrooms and living rooms where you want softness, warmth and full blackout, and they forgive small measurement errors because fullness and hems absorb them. Blinds suit kitchens, studies, offices and large sliding doors where you want precise light control, a slim profile and easy cleaning. Many homes use both — blinds on the glass for daytime, curtains over them for evening blackout.

Do you provide free measurement and installation?

Yes — we measure free on site across Delhi NCR and install what we supply. It matters most for blinds, which are cut to order and cannot be resized or returned if a measurement is wrong. Curtains are more forgiving. For sliding doors, bay windows, out-of-square recesses and anything wider than about 6 ft, a site visit is strongly advised over self-measurement.

How much do curtains and blinds cost?

We quote per window rather than publishing a rate card, because price depends on fabric or slat material, window size, whether the item is blackout or lined, the operating mechanism including motorisation, and the number of windows. Send window sizes and a photo, or book a free measurement, and we will quote firmly. If you have a budget, tell us the figure and we will show you what fits it.

Can curtains and blinds be motorised?

Yes — roller, zebra and vertical blinds and curtain tracks can all be motorised, with remote, wall switch or app and voice control depending on the system. It is most worthwhile on high or hard-to-reach windows, very wide or heavy runs, and rooms with many windows to operate together. It needs a power point planned near the window, so decide before installation rather than retrofitting.

Which blinds are best for a kitchen or bathroom?

PVC blinds, because they are unaffected by moisture and wipe clean of grease and splashes. Avoid real wooden blinds in these rooms — sustained humidity warps the slats. A roller blind in a wipeable fabric is a good alternative where you prefer a flat look to slats.

What is the minimum order quantity?

There is no minimum — we supply and fit a single window as readily as a full home or office. The effective cost per window does fall on larger orders, because site visit and installation time spreads across more units, so doing a whole room or floor at once is usually better value than one window at a time.
