PVC Blinds in Delhi NCR

Waterproof venetian blinds in 25 mm or 50 mm slats — wipe grease and splashes straight off. The practical answer for kitchens, bathrooms and utility areas.

Unaffected by moisture  |  Wipes clean  |  Most economical slatted blind

Every other blind on this site has a caveat about kitchens and bathrooms. PVC is the answer to all of them. It does not absorb water, so it will not swell, warp or grow fungus; grease and splashes wipe off with a damp cloth; and it is the most economical slatted blind you can buy. It is not trying to be a premium product — it is trying to still be straight and clean in five years, in the rooms where nothing else manages that.

For the fuller comparison against timber, see wooden vs PVC blinds. If you want the timber look in a damp room, faux wood on our wooden blinds page is the middle option.

25 mm or 50 mm?

25 mm

Finer slat, less bulky in a compact space. The usual choice for kitchen and bathroom windows, which are typically small.

50 mm

Bolder, clearer view when tilted open, and fewer slats to wipe — which is a genuine advantage in a greasy kitchen. Suits larger windows and utility rooms.

In a kitchen, fewer slats means less cleaning. That is a more practical reason to choose 50 mm than the look — wiping 12 wide slats after a month of cooking is materially quicker than wiping 24 narrow ones.
Do not fit any blind immediately above a gas hob. Sustained direct heat can distort PVC slats, and any window covering that close to a flame is a fire risk regardless of material. Where the kitchen window sits close to the cooking zone, keep the blind well clear of the hob, or use a wipeable roller blind mounted higher. Very cheap thin slats are also more prone to bowing on a window that takes harsh direct afternoon sun.

Care

  • Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No special products, no dry cleaning — the entire point of the material.
  • In a kitchen, wipe monthly. Grease is much easier to remove before it hardens and yellows on the slat.
  • Tilt closed flat before wiping so you can do a whole face in one pass, then reverse and repeat.
  • Leave a wet bathroom blind down to dry rather than raising it damp, so water does not sit between stacked slats.
  • Tilt closed before raising. Raising with slats open is what bends them and stresses the cords.
  • Keep the head rail mechanism dry — the slats are waterproof, but soaking the mechanism shortens its life.

What Determines the Price of PVC Blinds

PVC blinds are the most economical slatted option, and there is less price spread here than in other types. The drivers:

  • Slat quality and thickness — the main factor. Very thin slats are cheapest and are the ones that bow in strong sun; a heavier slat holds its shape for years
  • Window area — priced largely by size, with small blinds carrying a minimum because fabrication time does not scale down
  • Slat width — 25 mm and 50 mm differ modestly in price for the same window
  • Plain PVC or faux wood — woodgrain composite slats cost more than plain PVC while remaining far below real timber
  • Mechanism — cord lift is the baseline; cordless costs more and is worth it in a child's room
  • Colour — standard whites and greys are the value options; specific colours may carry a minimum
  • Number of windows — the biggest lever on a whole-house fit-out, as measurement and installation time spreads
The one place not to buy the cheapest: slat thickness. A very thin slat on a west-facing window bows within a couple of summers and the blind looks wavy even when closed. On a shaded bathroom window it makes no difference — so spend selectively rather than uniformly.

Supply Across Delhi NCR

We measure, supply and install PVC blinds from Noida (U.P.) and Faridabad (Haryana), covering Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad. At measurement we check the blind will sit clear of hobs and sinks, and confirm recess depth and mount type.

For society and commercial buildings, please arrange gate entry and lift access in advance and tell us the floor when booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are PVC blinds waterproof?
The slats are, which is the whole reason to choose them — PVC does not absorb water, so it will not swell, warp or grow fungus in a bathroom or above a kitchen sink the way timber and fabric do. The head rail mechanism should still not be soaked directly, and a blind over a shower or a frequently sprayed sink lasts longer if it is wiped and left down to dry rather than raised wet.
Which blinds are best for a kitchen?
PVC blinds, because cooking grease and steam wipe straight off with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and the material is unaffected by humidity. Fabric blinds absorb grease and smells and cannot be cleaned properly; real wooden blinds warp. The alternative worth considering is a roller blind in a wipeable coated fabric if you prefer a flat look to slats.
What slat sizes do PVC blinds come in?
Two common widths: 25 mm and 50 mm. A 25 mm slat suits small windows, kitchens and bathrooms where a finer slat looks less bulky in a compact space. A 50 mm slat reads bolder, gives a clearer view when tilted and has fewer slats to wipe, suiting larger windows and utility rooms. Both tilt to control light and sightlines identically.
Do PVC blinds warp in heat?
Good quality slats hold their shape in normal room conditions, but sustained direct heat can distort them — so a blind fitted immediately above a gas hob is in the wrong place regardless of material. Very cheap thin slats are also more prone to bowing on a window taking harsh afternoon sun. Where a kitchen window sits close to the cooking zone, keep the blind clear of the hob or use a wipeable roller blind instead.
Are PVC blinds cheaper than wooden blinds?
Yes, considerably — PVC venetians are the most economical slatted option and the usual entry point to the blinds range, while real basswood costs several times more for the same window. Faux wood sits between: a heavier composite slat made to look like timber, costing more than plain PVC but far less than real wood, and the better choice where you want the wooden look in a damp room.
How much do PVC blinds cost?
We quote per window, though the spread is narrower here than in other blind types. The drivers are slat quality and thickness, window area, slat width, plain PVC versus faux wood, mechanism and colour. Send window sizes and a photo, or book a free measurement. On a whole-house fit-out, the number of windows is the biggest lever on cost per window.
What is the minimum order, and do you install in Noida, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Delhi?
No minimum — a single window is fine, though small blinds carry a minimum charge as fabrication time does not scale down, and cost per window falls across a larger order. We measure and install across Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad from our Noida and Faridabad locations. Please arrange gate entry and lift access in advance.

Kitchen or Bathroom Window to Cover?

Free measurement across Delhi NCR. We'll check the blind sits clear of hobs and sinks, recommend 25 mm or 50 mm for the space, and quote per window — or across the whole house if you are fitting out.

Slat widths, colours and mechanisms described here are the options commonly available in the Indian market and are general guidance, not a stock list or quotation. No window covering should be fitted immediately above a gas hob or other direct heat source. Maximum single-unit width depends on the slat supplied and is confirmed at measurement. Made-to-measure blinds are cut to order and cannot be resized or returned.
