Sheets & Panels

HPL Sheets Supplier in Delhi NCR

High pressure laminate — interior decorative grades and exterior compact HPL for facades, toilet cubicles, lockers and worktops.

Self-supporting compact grades  |  Exterior weather resistant  |  Scratch resistant

HPL means two quite different products in practice, and this is where most wrong quotes come from. Thin decorative laminate is a surface — it must be glued to plywood or MDF to exist. Compact HPL is a panel — dense, solid through its thickness, and strong enough to be the thing itself with no backing board. Toilet cubicles, lockers and building facades use compact. Furniture surfacing uses thin. Ordering the wrong one wastes a delivery.

Two Grades, Two Uses

Interior Decorative Laminate

Thin surfacing laminate bonded to plywood or MDF. Furniture, shutters, wardrobes, wall panelling, worktop surfacing.

Compact HPL

Thick, self-supporting solid panel needing no substrate. Toilet cubicles, lockers, lab worktops, exterior facades, balcony panels.

Interior laminate is not an outdoor material. Only exterior-grade compact HPL, made with weather-resistant resins and a UV-stable surface, should go on a facade or balcony. Standard interior laminate will discolour and delaminate outdoors. For any external application, get "exterior grade" stated in writing on the order.

Our detailed comparison, HPL sheets vs ACP sheets, works through both in depth. See also ACP sheets.

Working With HPL

  • Use fine-tooth carbide blades. HPL is hard and abrasive; coarse blades chip the decorative face. Cut with the good face up on a table saw, down on a hand saw.
  • Support it fully for interior laminate. Thin laminate must be bonded across its whole area — voids in the adhesive show as hollow patches and eventually bubble.
  • Allow movement on compact panels. Large compact panels expand and contract with humidity. Fixing holes should be slotted or oversized, not pinned tight.
  • Ventilate exterior facades. Exterior HPL is designed as a rainscreen with an air cavity behind it, not glued flat to a wall.
  • Consider the core colour. On visible cut edges, a black core reads as a deliberate shadow line; a colour-through core gives a seamless edge. Decide before ordering.

What Determines the Price of HPL sheet

We do not publish a rate card for HPL sheet, because a single per-sq-ft figure would be misleading — the same material can differ several-fold in price depending on the specification. These are the factors that actually move the number, so you can see where your own cost is going and where there is room to save:

  • Grade — the biggest factor — exterior compact HPL sits well above interior decorative laminate, because the resins and the thickness are different products
  • Thickness — on compact grades this is the main driver; a 12 mm cubicle panel is not comparable to 6 mm
  • Decor — solid colours and standard woodgrains are the value options; premium and textured decors cost more
  • Core colour — black or brown core is standard; white and colour-through cores carry a premium and change how a cut edge reads
  • Sheet size — large-format compact sheets cost more but cut wastage on tall panels
  • Fabrication — CNC routed cut-outs, edge polishing and cubicle hardware are quoted separately from the sheet
Getting an accurate figure quickly: send the material, thickness, finished sizes and quantity, and say what the sheet has to do. That is enough to quote firmly. If you are still comparing options, ask us for the range across two or three specifications — it is usually cheaper to change the specification than to negotiate the price of the wrong one.

Supply Across Delhi NCR

We supply HPL sheet from our locations in Noida (U.P.) and Faridabad (Haryana), delivering across Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad. Cut-to-size orders can be collected from either location or delivered to site.

Two practical notes for delivery: full-size sheets need suitable vehicle access, and the usual constraint is not the sheet but the lift dimensions and staircase turns at the other end — tell us the floor and access when ordering. For site deliveries in a housing society or commercial complex, arrange gate entry and unloading help in advance, as large sheets need two people to handle safely.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between HPL laminate and compact HPL?
Thin decorative laminate (under about 1.5 mm) is a surfacing material that must be bonded to plywood or MDF — it has no strength of its own. Compact HPL is much thicker, generally 3 mm and above, and is self-supporting, so it becomes the panel itself with no backing board. That is why compact is used for cubicles, lockers and exterior cladding, and thin laminate for surfacing furniture.
Can HPL be used outdoors?
Only exterior-grade compact HPL, which is made with weather-resistant resins and a UV-stable surface so it holds colour in sun and rain — hence its use on facades and balcony panels. Standard interior laminate is unsuitable outdoors and will discolour and delaminate. Confirm exterior grade in writing for any external application.
Is HPL better than ACP for facades?
They suit different priorities. Exterior compact HPL gives a solid, dense panel with woodgrains and solid colours that read as a material rather than a coating, and it does not oil-can. ACP is lighter, cheaper per sq ft, folds into trays easily and offers metallic and mirror finishes. HPL for a premium matt architectural look; ACP for cost efficiency, metallics and complex folded detailing.
Why is HPL used for toilet cubicles?
Compact HPL is self-supporting, does not swell with water, resists scratches and impact, and tolerates strong cleaning agents — exactly what a public washroom needs. Because the panel is solid throughout rather than laminate over board, a chipped edge does not expose a vulnerable core and there is nothing inside to absorb moisture and fail.
How much do HPL sheet cost?
We quote per job rather than publishing a rate card, because the specification changes the price several-fold. The main drivers are material and grade, thickness, size and wastage, finish, and quantity. Send the material, thickness, finished sizes and quantity and we will quote firmly, usually the same working day. If you are comparing options, ask for the range across two or three specifications rather than one figure.
What is the minimum order quantity?
For stocked materials we can supply from a single cut piece upward, so there is no barrier to a small job. Non-stocked, imported or specially sourced grades usually carry a minimum set by the manufacturer, often a full sheet or a pack, plus a lead time. We will tell you the minimum and the lead time before you commit rather than after, and will say if a stocked alternative would do the same job sooner and cheaper.
Do you deliver to Noida, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Delhi?
Yes. We supply across Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad from our Noida and Faridabad locations, and cut-to-size orders can also be collected. Full-size sheets need suitable vehicle access and two people to handle, and the usual constraint is the lift or staircase at the delivery end rather than the sheet itself, so tell us the floor and access when you order.

Facade, Cubicles or Furniture Surfacing?

Tell us the application and we'll confirm whether you need thin laminate or compact grade, interior or exterior, and quote with the decor range.

Thicknesses, sizes, grades and finishes described here are the options commonly available in the Indian market and are general guidance, not a stock list or quotation. Exterior, fire-retardant, chemical-resistant and anti-bacterial performance depends on the specific grade supplied and must be confirmed against the manufacturer's certification. Facade cladding should be designed as a ventilated system and installed to suit structural and wind loading conditions.
