Window Blinds in Delhi NCR — Made to Measure

Vertical, zebra, roller, wooden and PVC. Compare all five, decide inside or outside mount, choose manual or motorised — measured free and fitted by us.

Free measurement  |  Cut to order  |  Cordless & motorised options

Blinds are made to your measurement and cannot be resized afterwards, so the order of decisions matters: pick the type to suit the window, then the mount, then the mechanism — and only then measure. This page covers all three. If you already know which type you want, go straight to it below.

All Five Types Compared

Width limits are practical guidance, not fixed specifications — the exact maximum depends on the fabric, tube and mechanism. We confirm it for your chosen product at measurement.

Decision 1 — Inside or Outside Mount

Inside Mount

Sits within the recess. Neat, built-in look, sill stays usable. Needs enough frame depth for the mechanism, leaves small light gaps at the edges, and is unforgiving if the recess is out of square.

Outside Mount

Covers the whole frame. Better light blocking with no edge gaps, hides an uneven or damaged frame, makes a small window look larger, and works where the recess is too shallow.

The test that decides it: measure the recess width at top, middle and bottom. If the three readings differ by more than about 10 mm, choose outside mount — an inside-mount blind on an out-of-square recess shows a wedge-shaped light gap that cannot be fixed afterwards. Full method in our measuring guide.
Confirm who deducts the running clearance. An inside-mount blind must be slightly narrower than the recess to run freely. Give us your raw narrowest measurement and we will deduct it. If you deduct as well, the blind ends up too narrow with a permanent light gap — and nobody notices until installation day.

Decision 2 — Operating Mechanism

MechanismSuitsNotes
Chain / cordStandard windows, the economical baselineLooped cord — use a cord cleat, and avoid in children's rooms
Spring / cordlessChildren's rooms, clean minimal lookNo loop, so no cord hazard
Wand controlVertical blindsRotate and draw without a loose cord
Motorised — remoteHigh windows, wide or heavy blindsNeeds a power point planned near the window
Motorised — app / voiceMultiple windows operated together, smart homesGroup control and scheduling; check Wi-Fi coverage at the window
Looped cords are a strangulation hazard for young children. In any room used by a small child, choose cordless or motorised operation, or insist on a cord cleat fitted high and out of reach. We fit cord cleats as standard when you tell us a room is a child's.

Choose By Room

Care & Cleaning

  • Dust weekly with a soft brush or vacuum brush attachment. Dust is what ages a blind visually, and slats show it more than fabric.
  • Wipe PVC and faux wood slats with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Never soak real wooden blinds — damp cloth only, dried immediately.
  • Spot-clean fabric rollers and zebras gently. Aggressive rubbing marks the coating on blackout fabrics permanently.
  • Do not force a stuck blind. A chain that jams is usually a mechanism issue; forcing it turns a small repair into a replacement.
  • Operate from the centre of the bottom rail rather than one end, which keeps the blind running square on its tube.

What Determines the Price of Blinds

We quote per window rather than publishing a rate card, because the same window varies substantially by specification. The drivers:

  • Type — PVC and basic roller are the economical end; real wooden blinds and premium zebra fabrics are considerably more
  • Fabric or slat material — the biggest factor within any one type; basswood versus faux wood, or a designer zebra fabric versus a plain, are different brackets
  • Window area — priced largely by size, with very small blinds carrying a minimum charge because fabrication time does not scale down
  • Opacity — blackout fabrics cost more than translucent, and sunscreen fabrics are priced by their openness factor
  • Mechanism — chain is the baseline; cordless, cassette and motorised each add cost, and motorisation is the largest single jump
  • Cassette or valance — a covered head rail looks more finished than an exposed tube and costs more
  • Splitting wide windows — two units on one window cost more than one, but are often the only workable option above about 6–7 ft
  • Number of windows — cost per window falls as measurement and installation time spreads across the order
Where to spend: on the mechanism. Fabric is what you see, but the chain, tube and brackets are what fail — and a blind that has stopped working gets replaced regardless of how good the fabric still looks.

Supply Across Delhi NCR

We measure, supply and install blinds from Noida (U.P.) and Faridabad (Haryana), covering Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad. Because blinds are cut to order, the sequence is a free site measurement first, then manufacture, then installation — we do not quote firm sizes from a phone description.

For society and commercial buildings, please arrange gate entry and lift access in advance and tell us the floor when booking. Long blind units need clear access through lifts and stairwell turns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which type of blind is best for my window?
Match the blind to the window, not to a style preference. Vertical for sliding doors and very wide windows. Zebra for living rooms and studies where light varies through the day. Roller for regular windows — the simplest and most economical. Wooden for dry rooms where you want warmth and a premium look. PVC for kitchens, bathrooms and utility areas where moisture rules out everything else.
Should blinds be mounted inside or outside the window frame?
Inside mount sits in the recess for a neat built-in look and keeps the sill usable, but needs adequate frame depth and leaves small edge light gaps. Outside mount covers the whole frame, blocks light better and hides an uneven or out-of-square recess. Decide before measuring, as the two are measured differently — and if your three width readings differ by more than about 10 mm, go outside mount.
How wide can a single blind be?
It depends on type. Vertical blinds handle very wide openings in one unit, which is why they dominate sliding doors. Roller and zebra are usually split into two above roughly 6 to 7 feet, since a wider tube becomes heavy to operate and can deflect. Wooden splits earlier still because the slats are heavier. These are practical limits; the exact maximum depends on fabric, tube and mechanism.
Are motorised blinds worth it?
Worth it in three situations: high or hard-to-reach windows, very wide or heavy blinds that are awkward manually, and rooms with several windows to move together. Motorisation also removes looped cords entirely, which matters with young children. It needs a power point planned near the window, so decide before installation — retrofitting power is the expensive part, not the motor.
Do blinds keep a room cool?
They help significantly on windows in direct sun, because stopping sunlight before it enters beats dealing with the heat afterwards. Light-coloured or reflective-backed blinds reduce heat gain most, and sunscreen fabrics cut glare and heat while keeping some view. They do not insulate the glass the way a thermal-lined curtain does, so for the hottest west-facing rooms a blind plus lined curtain outperforms either alone.
How much do blinds cost?
We quote per window, because type, fabric or slat material, window area, opacity, mechanism, cassette and whether a wide window must be split all move the figure. Send window sizes and a photo, or book a free measurement, and we will quote firmly. Tell us your budget and we will show you which type and fabric fits it rather than quoting a single option.
What is the minimum order, and do you install in Noida, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Delhi?
No minimum — a single window is fine, though very small blinds carry a minimum charge because fabrication time does not scale down, and cost per window falls across a larger order. We measure and install across Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad from our Noida and Faridabad locations. Please arrange gate entry and lift access in advance and tell us the floor.

Blinds are cut to order and cannot be resized, so we measure on site, confirm inside or outside mount, flag AC units, handles and switches in the way, and quote from exact figures.

Types, fabric and slat options, mechanisms and maximum widths described here are the options commonly available in the Indian market and are general guidance, not a stock list or quotation. Made-to-measure blinds are cut to order and cannot be resized or returned, so final measurements should be confirmed on site before manufacture. For child safety, cordless or motorised operation is recommended in any room used by young children.
