Shrink Film & Shrink Wrap in Delhi NCR

Applied loose, then heated so it shrinks tight and conforms to the product — for multipacks, bundling and tamper-evident sealed packs. POF and LDPE grades in bulk.

Shrink film does one thing very well: it becomes a tight, clear, tamper-evident skin around a product or a group of products. Heat makes it contract, so it follows the shape rather than just holding it. Before ordering, be sure this is the film you actually want — because the product most people mean when they say "shrink wrap the pallet" is a completely different material.

Shrink Film or Stretch Film? Settle This First

Shrink FilmStretch Film
How it worksApplied loose, then heated — it shrinks and conformsStretched cold and wrapped — holds by tension
Needs equipmentHeat gun, shrink tunnel or L-sealerNone — hand roll or wrapping machine
FinishTight, clear, glossy, tamper-evidentCling wrap look, layered
Main useMultipacks, retail bundles, individual productsPalletising and load stability
ReopenableNo — that is the pointYes, unwraps
If you want to wrap a pallet, you almost certainly want stretch film, not shrink film. Shrink film on a pallet needs a shrink hood and a heat source, which most warehouses do not have. Ordering shrink film for palletising is the most common packaging mis-order we see, and the roll then sits unused. Tell us the job rather than the product name and we will confirm which film you need.

Choosing Micron and Type

  • Light retail packs — cosmetics, stationery, small boxes, single items: a thin POF film gives the cleanest, clearest finish
  • Multipacks and bundles — bottles, cans, tiles, books: mid-range micron, chosen by the weight it must hold together
  • Heavy industrial bundling — pipes, profiles, boards: heavier LDPE film
  • Retail visibility — specify a high-clarity grade; a hazy film makes good packaging look cheap on a shelf
  • Food contact — must be the appropriate certified grade, not a general industrial film of the same micron
Send product dimensions, not just a width. Shrink film width is chosen from the girth of what you are wrapping, and centre-fold versus single-wound depends on your sealing equipment. Two minutes describing the product and your machine avoids a roll that does not fit either.

What Determines the Price of Shrink Film

Quoted at current rates rather than a fixed list, as film tracks polymer input costs. The drivers:

  • Micron — the biggest factor; you are buying material weight per metre
  • Film type — POF generally costs more than LDPE for the same micron and gives a clearer, tighter finish
  • Width and format — standard widths cost less than cut-to-width; centre-fold and single-wound are converted differently
  • Clarity grade — high-clarity retail film is a premium over standard
  • Quantity — the main lever, with repeat supply rates well below single-roll pricing
  • Food-contact certification where required
Where buyers waste money: over-specifying micron. A heavier film does not shrink better — it just costs more and needs more heat, which slows the line. Get the micron right for the weight being held and spend the difference on a clearer grade if the pack is customer-facing.

Supply Across Delhi NCR

We supply shrink film from Noida (U.P.) and Faridabad (Haryana), covering Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad, with scheduled repeat supply for production users.

Tell us your sealing equipment when ordering — heat gun, L-sealer or tunnel — because it determines whether you need centre-fold or single-wound film and what micron will run cleanly on your line.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between shrink film and stretch film?
Shrink film is applied loose and then heated, so it shrinks and conforms tightly to the product - used for multipacks, retail bundles and tamper-evident packs. Stretch film is stretched cold around a load and holds by tension - used for palletising. Shrink needs a heat source, stretch needs none. They are not interchangeable, and ordering one when you meant the other is the most common packaging mis-order we see.
Can I use shrink film to wrap a pallet?
In practice, no - you want stretch film. Shrink-wrapping a pallet requires a shrink hood and a heat source, which most warehouses do not have, so the film ends up unused. If your job is load stability on a pallet, tell us that and we will confirm the right film rather than supplying what was asked for by name. Describe the job, not the product.
What equipment do I need to use shrink film?
For small volumes, a heat gun is enough - wrap, seal and shrink by hand. For production runs you need an L-sealer to cut and seal plus a shrink tunnel to apply even heat, which gives a far more consistent finish and much higher throughput. Your equipment also determines the film format: L-sealers use centre-fold film, while hand and other methods may use single-wound.
What micron of shrink film should I use?
Roughly 12 to 25 micron for light retail work such as cosmetics, stationery and small boxes, mid-range for multipacks chosen by the weight being held together, and up to around 100 micron heavier LDPE film for industrial bundling of pipes, profiles and boards. Over-specifying wastes money: a heavier film does not shrink better, it just needs more heat and slows the line.
Which shrink film gives the clearest finish?
POF, polyolefin film, in a high-clarity grade. It shrinks tighter and stays glossier than LDPE, which matters when the product is customer-facing on a shelf, since a hazy film makes good packaging look cheap. LDPE is the better choice for heavy industrial bundling where appearance is irrelevant and holding strength is what counts.
Do you supply food-contact shrink film?
Food-contact grades are available where required. The important point is that suitability comes from the specific certified grade, not from the film type or micron - a general industrial POF film of the same specification is not equivalent. State clearly that it is a food-contact application when ordering so the appropriate grade is supplied with its documentation.
How do you quote shrink film, and do you deliver across Delhi NCR?
At current rates rather than a fixed list, since film tracks polymer input costs. The drivers are micron, film type, width and format, clarity grade, quantity and any food-contact certification. Send your product dimensions and sealing equipment for the right recommendation. We deliver across Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad, with scheduled repeat supply for production users.

Not Sure If You Need Shrink or Stretch?

Describe the job — what you are wrapping, how heavy, and what equipment you have. We'll confirm which film, which micron and which format runs on your line.

Film types, microns and formats described here are the options commonly available in the Indian market and are general guidance, not a stock list or quotation. Food-contact suitability depends on the specific certified grade supplied. Shrink film requires a heat source to perform as described and is not a substitute for stretch film in palletising. Film prices track polymer input costs and move through the year.
