Vinyl Roll Flooring in Delhi NCR

Wide rolls, very few seams, and the fastest way to cover a large area. Choose the roll width correctly and you cut both wastage and joints — choose it badly and you pay for vinyl you throw away.

From ₹10/sq ft  |  2 m, 3 m & 4 m widths  |  Weldable seams

Roll-form vinyl exists for one reason: covering large areas with as few joints as possible. Every seam is a potential entry point for water and a line that shows, so a floor laid in 4 m wide rolls beats the same material in planks for hygiene, water resistance and speed. The decision that costs or saves you money here is not the design — it is the roll width against your room dimensions.

Why Roll Form Instead of Planks

RequirementRollPlank / Tile
Number of jointsVery few — often none in a normal roomHundreds
Water resistance of the floorBest — seams can be heat welded to seal themWater can reach joints
Hygiene / cleaningBest — nothing to trap dirt, can be coved up the wallJoint lines collect residue
Speed over large areasFastestSlower
Repairing damagePatch, or replace the sheetSwap one plank
Awkward, cut-up roomsMore wastageLess wastage

So: rolls for large, open, wet or hygiene-critical areas. Planks for homes, retail and rooms broken up by fittings. For the material properties in more depth — homogeneous versus heterogeneous, clinical grades — see vinyl sheet flooring.

Roll Width Is the Money Decision

Vinyl comes in fixed widths. Your room does not. Matching them is where wastage is either avoided or paid for:

Room widthBest roll widthWhat happens if you get it wrong
Up to ~2 m2 mA 4 m roll means cutting half of it away down the length
2 – 3 m3 mUsing 2 m creates an unnecessary seam
3 – 4 m4 mUsing 3 m leaves a thin strip and a seam near the wall
Over 4 m4 m plus a planned seamAn unplanned seam ends up in the middle of the room where it shows
Where a seam goes matters as much as whether you have one. Planned properly, it runs along the light rather than across it, sits away from the main walking line, and lands where furniture will cover it. Left to chance, it lands in the middle of the floor facing the window. Send us the room dimensions and we will tell you the width that produces the least waste and the best-placed joint.

Working Out How Much You Need

  1. Measure the longest length and widest width of the room, including any alcoves and door recesses — not the average
  2. Choose the roll width that covers the room width with the least offcut
  3. Add for pattern matching if the design has a repeat — plains and speckles need almost nothing, wood-plank prints need a repeat allowance
  4. Add 5–10% overall for trimming. More if the room has many cut-outs, curves or a stepped shape
  5. Check access before ordering. A 4 m wide roll is heavy, rigid and long — it has to physically get up the stairs or into the lift. This catches people out on upper floors
Order the whole area in one batch. Vinyl shade varies between production runs, and two rolls from different batches laid side by side show a visible difference in colour that no amount of good installation hides. If you are phasing a project, order all the material up front and store it flat and indoors.

Installation, Honestly

  • The subfloor decides the result. Roll vinyl is thin and follows every contour beneath it — a 2 mm ridge stays visible forever. Flatness should be within about 3 mm under a 2 m straightedge
  • The slab must be dry. Adhesive fails and the floor can lift or discolour over residual moisture. We test before laying — see the subfloor preparation guide
  • Acclimatise the material flat in the room before laying so it relaxes and stops shrinking afterwards
  • Weld the seams in any wet or hygiene-critical area. A butt joint is cheaper and adequate in a dry office; it is not adequate in a clinic or a kitchen
  • Wait before wet cleaning — adhesive needs to cure, typically a couple of days, before the floor is mopped

What Determines the Price of Vinyl Roll Flooring

Our PVC flooring range starts from ₹10 per sq ft as a material starting rate. What moves the number:

  • Wear layer — the dominant factor and the one that decides how long the floor looks new
  • Total thickness and backing — foam or felt backed comfort grades versus compact commercial grades
  • Roll width against your room — the wrong width means paying for vinyl you cut off and discard, which is why we ask for dimensions before quoting
  • Wastage from room shape — a plain rectangle wastes almost nothing; a room with alcoves, curves and cut-outs wastes considerably more
  • Seam welding — skilled labour plus weld rod, quoted separately from laying
  • Coving — taking the vinyl up the wall in clinical areas is additional labour and trim
  • Subfloor preparation — often the largest variable, and it cannot be judged from a photograph
  • Area — rate per sq ft falls on larger jobs, and roll vinyl is at its most economical over big open floors
The cheapest quote is often the one that ignored the width. Two suppliers quoting the same material can differ substantially once wastage is counted, because one planned the layout around the roll width and the other did not. Ask how many square metres you are actually being charged for, not just the rate.

Supply Across Delhi NCR

We supply and install vinyl roll flooring from Noida (U.P.) and Faridabad (Haryana), covering Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad — clinics and hospitals, offices, schools, gyms, salons, retail and industrial units.

One practical point: wide rolls are long, heavy and rigid. Please tell us the floor and access route when ordering — stairwell turns and lift dimensions, not the size of the job, are what usually constrain delivery on upper floors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What roll widths does vinyl flooring come in?
Commonly 2 m, 3 m and 4 m. Choosing the width that best matches your room is the main way to control cost, because the offcut down the length of a roll is waste you still pay for. A room up to about 2 m wide suits a 2 m roll; 3 to 4 m suits a 4 m roll. Over 4 m you need a planned seam, and where that seam falls matters as much as having one.
How much vinyl roll do I need?
Measure the longest length and widest width of the room including alcoves and door recesses, choose the roll width that leaves the least offcut, add a pattern repeat allowance if the design has one, then add 5 to 10 percent for trimming - more if the room has many cut-outs or curves. Send us the dimensions and we will calculate it, including which width wastes least.
What is the difference between vinyl roll and vinyl sheet flooring?
In Indian trade usage they are largely the same product and the terms are used interchangeably - vinyl supplied in roll form rather than as planks or tiles. This page focuses on the practical side of buying it in rolls: widths, coverage, wastage and seam planning. Our vinyl sheet flooring page covers the material itself in more depth, including homogeneous versus heterogeneous construction and clinical grades.
Should the seams be welded?
In any wet or hygiene-critical area, yes. Heat welding with a matching weld rod fuses the two sheets into a sealed surface so water cannot reach the substrate and there is no joint line to trap dirt - which is why it is standard in clinics, kitchens and washrooms. In a dry office a butt joint is cheaper and perfectly adequate. Welding is skilled labour and is quoted separately from laying.
Why must all the material come from one batch?
Because vinyl shade varies between production runs. Two rolls from different batches laid side by side show a visible colour difference that no amount of careful installation hides, and it is most obvious in daylight across an open floor. Order the whole area in one batch, even if the work is phased, and store the material flat and indoors until it is laid.
Can vinyl roll be laid over existing tiles?
Yes, provided the tiles are firmly bonded, dry and reasonably level, and the grout lines are filled first. Roll vinyl is thin and follows the contour of whatever is beneath it, so unfilled grout lines will telegraph through and show as a grid within months. Flatness should be within about 3 mm under a 2 m straightedge, and the slab must be dry before any adhesive goes down.
How much does it cost, and do you install across Delhi NCR?
Our PVC flooring range starts from Rs.10 per sq ft as a material starting rate. The drivers are wear layer, thickness and backing, how well the roll width matches your room, wastage from room shape, seam welding, coving, subfloor preparation and total area. We supply and install across Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad, and survey the subfloor before quoting.

Send Your Room Dimensions

Length and width including alcoves, plus the floor and access route. We'll work out the roll width that wastes least, plan where any seam should fall, and quote material and preparation separately.

Roll widths, thicknesses, wear layers and backing types described here are the options commonly available in the Indian market and are general guidance, not a stock list or quotation. The ₹10 per sq ft figure is our published starting rate for the PVC flooring range and is not a finished laid price. Coverage and wastage depend on room shape and roll width and should be calculated per job. Subfloor flatness and moisture can only be assessed on site.
